New Member Orientation

Cambridge Community Television holds free public information sessions for community members and aspiring videomakers. This is a chance to learn about public access television, CCTV member privileges and available resources, and meet others interested in community media.

This is the first step to becoming a CCTV Member.

Why Membership?
CCTV provides a forum for Cambridge residents to participate in both local and global interactions using television and the internet. CCTV offers video production workshops, access to video and computer equipment, channel time on three cable community channels and a live web stream, and access to computer software and training. There are four ways to gain access to these services through CCTV:

	» Access Membership
	Access Membership gives you full access to all of CCTV's services and is limited to Cambridge Residents. If you are not a resident, please contact the Public Access Center in your home town.
	» Affiliate Membership
	Affiliate Membership is a chance to circulate programming with CCTV without using our production facilities, and to enroll in Educational Seminars. Anyone, regardless of residence, may become an Affiliate Member of CCTV.
	» Organizational Membership
	Any incorporated organization (including a business or a department of an institution) that is based in Cambridge or whose service area includes Cambridge is eligible to become an Organizational Member. The organization must pay a small fee and this allows up to four individuals from your organization to become Access Members of CCTV. This kind of membership will also make your organization eligible to receive special perks, such as low cost annual event coverage, free channel time, access to gear after training, etc.
	» Internship
	Work 4-10 hours per week as a CCTV Intern and receive a free Access Membership, even if you do not live in Cambridge. There are many departments to intern in. Check out our current internship opportunities!

$100 credit per person per year for Classes and Seminars
May enroll in Computer Classes and Education Seminars, to pay per class.
Free access to cameras, editing suites, and studios when producing programs.
May rent CCTV equipment and facilities under our insurance policy.
Ability to make regular 1/2 hour LIVE television programs from our BeLive! set.
Voting privileges as Corporation Member.
Free channel time for single and series programs (with a Cambridge sponsor if not a Cambridge resident).
Discounts on blank media, tape stock, and tape duplication.
Free access to our computer lab during regular weekly hours.
Receive "Open Studio" newsletter, announcements.
Receive Members-only offers and invitations.
Must be renewed annually.
Enroll individuals from your organization in media trainings.
Have one event per year video taped and cablecast for only $35.
