Production Options @ CCTV

Once you are a member and take some classes you are ready to start producing programming. There are a bunch of things you should know about making programs, using equipment, getting programming on the air, and meeting other producers here.

Get a Contract, Make a Program

What Cambridge Community Television does best is help people make their own stuff. We do this by providing members with access to our equipment and facilities at little or no cost to them.

Use our Equipment and Facilities

CCTV has a large inventory of production equipment available to the community for potentially free use, including two studios, portable digital video cameras, professional editing suites and a public computer lab.

Start or Join a Production Group

Production groups produce media based on their own interests, ranging from political issues to monster movies. Starting or joining production groups is a great way to get involved with ongoing productions at CCTV.

Get your Program on Television

Cambridge Community Television operates three cable television channels and residents and members may submit programs for cablecast to our 31,000 cable-subscribing households. There are a lot of options for submitting programs to CCTV.

Get Free Event Coverage for your Organization

Under specific circumstances, CCTV will produce programming for organizations. CCTV provides the people and equipment to cover events, and the organization supplies the content and publicity.

Hire or Rent from CCTV

Some individuals and organizations would rather pay to use our equipment or to have a video produced for them. CCTV offers several commercial service options, ranging from the rental of our production gear to full service production teams.
