SMI 2010 WEEK 3
In the third week of SMI program, a lot of exciting things happened. On the first day of the third week, Matt, one of the program coordinators, gave the students editing and effects workshop. The workshop helped the participants to produce a compelling short films. The next two days they worked on their project which included shooting, recording voice overs, capturing and editing. In the fourth day of the third week, we held a view and critique rough cut of their second project to help them improve and produce their short films better. From the view and critique rough cut, the students got the chance to help their friends and themselves produce candid and eloquent short films. At the end of the week, all the participant finished shooting and editing their second project.Wwe congratulate the participants for creating irresistible short films and we can wait to see the final productions.
SMI 2010 WEEK 2
SMI is in its second week. In the beginning of the second week, students watched and discussed their in camera edit projects. The rest of the week the program coordinators held editing workshop and editing practice. All of the participant acquired a great deal of experience from the workshop and practice. They also did an incorporating music workshop, soundtrack pro and garageband. Before the week end, the participant started working on their second project. The second project was about a personal narrative memory or dream. The participants worked on their scripts and shot list. Matt. one of the program coordinators, gave the students a media literacy workshop which included thinking about public performance, representing oneself, new media, etc. In the last day of the week. we encouraged students to finish up their scripts, shot lists and advised them to start shooting over the weekend. We wish them great luck and can't wait to see the final work.
SMI 2010
SMI, a summer program that teaches cambridge teens media making and career readiness skills, started july 6 2010. This year the program have 16 kids from high school around cambridge who are eager to learn and explore more about media arts. The program started the first day with a camera workshop, teaching teens in the program about camera use and different kind of shots they can use later in their projects. For the rest of the week, they were working in pairs of three to produce a silent film, an in-camera edit which start someplace, go someplace and leaves something behind which should be less than 4 minutes long.
CCTV AND ME
CCTV, this is a place where you want to see your self whether your an adult, a kid from high school or just a random person who like to make movies that make you feel good and elated. CCTV is were dream come to reality. if you have the passion and the willingness to make movie not only makes you feel good but help your community too, CCTV is were you have to find your self if you are serious about movies. most people say that be around with people that your are comfortable with, people you think agree with your passion and support you to accomplish your dream. CCTV is were you find this kind people, people who loves you for who you are, who people who cares about you and above all people who want to help no matter what. CCTV IS MY BACKBONE, it will prop me when i fall, it will rise me up when i am down and it will help me when i am in need. for all people who live in Cambridge, come and see what you missing. whether you like it or not CCTV IS THE RIGHT PLACE TO BE FOUND.
