HaitianfireflY: Hope & Inspiration Arts Festival Draws Hollywood
Hey Everyone! My introduction about who I am and my current projects is directly below this article.
Arts Festival Promotes Hope, Inspiration & Triumph Over Adversity
By Jacques Fleury: The Haitian Firefly
In the midst of political and racial cacophony, comes an event that is sure to bring some much-needed peace and artistic harmony that is sure to lift the human spirit with gaiety! A four day celebration beginning Thursday April 26th and ending Sunday April 29th, 2007 aptly titled “Hope and Inspiration: a performing arts festival celebrating courage, strength, and personal triumph in the face of homelessness, addiction, mental illness and incarceration.” This fabulous occasion is sure to bring joy and laugher to mitigate the often-unrelenting melancholy that permeates the lives of those living in poverty and aggrieved with ignominy. Essentially, this event is very close to the heart and mission of Spare Change News, which is to inspire people to crawl out from under the dark claws of misery and misfortune and rise to the height of their potential through perseverance and hard work. The event will feature a plethora of dynamic performers including myself, former band leader of Saturday Night Live G.E. Smith and Jimmy Tingle from Jimmy Tingle’s Off Broadway Theatre in Somerville among others. read more...
