Public Transit:
Take the MBTA Red Line subway to the Central Square stop (or MBTA buses to Central Square). Exit the station and walk 100 yards north on Prospect St, our entrance is on the left.
Parking:
Central Square has two free parking lots available after 6PM on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday, on the corners of Bishop Allen Drive and Prospect Street. Otherwise, metered parking is moderately difficult to find, metered in two hour blocks. Add time to your trip by planning 10-15 minutes for parking.
Driving Directions
From Boston: Take the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge into Cambridge. Go through four traffic lights. The fifth light is in the middle of Central Square – turn right here onto Prospect Street. Half a block up, you will see CCTV on your left. Go through the traffic light and make a left turn into the parking lot (after 6 PM).
Or, take the Longfellow Bridge into Cambridge. Go through two traffic lights. At the fork, bear left onto Broadway. At the third light, take a left onto Prospect Street. Go through one light. You will then pass Whole Foods and a church on your right. You will come to a parking lot, across from Carberry’s Bakery. Turn right into the parking lot (after 6 PM) and CCTV is up on the right in the next block.
From the West:
Take the Mass Pike to the Allston/Cambridge exit. Go across the Charles River into Cambridge and take River Street all the way until it ends at Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. Cross Mass Avenue onto Prospect Street. Half a block up, you will see CCTV on your left. Go through the traffic light and make a left turn into the parking lot (after 6 PM).
From the North:
Take Route 93 to the McGrath Highway exit. At the end of the ramp, take a left. Go through one traffic light. At the next light (Rte. 28) turn right. Go through two lights and the road will bear left as it goes over a trestle bridge. As you bear left, stay to the right and get off at the ramp right next to the gas station, where the sign says “Washington Street.” At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, turn right. The road will soon bear to the left and reach a traffic light (this is Union Square in Somerville). Take a right at the light and go to the next light. Turn left at this light and go up a small hill. Bear right at the next traffic light – this is Prospect Street. Go up Prospect through four lights. You will then pass Whole Foods and a church on your right. You will come to a parking lot, across from Carberry’s Bakery. Turn right into the parking lot (after 6 PM) and CCTV is up on the right in the next block.
