Schor, Professor of Sociology at Boston College whose focus areas include consumerism, work and leisure, women's issues, and economic justice. Before joining Boston College, she taught at Harvard University for 17 years in the Department of Economics and the Committee on Degrees in Women's Studies. Sep 19, 11:00AM - 5:00PMFall color and harvest plenty will fill a historic part of Cambridge near Harvard Square during the Second Cambridge Urban-Ag Fair on Sunday, September 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair celebrates local gardens, produce growers and food producers. It's free and open to the public. The central location is Winthrop Park, located on JFK Street between Winthrop and Mt. Auburn (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl). Sep 19, 2:00PM - Oct 3, 5:00PMThe Alliance of Cambridge Tenants (ACT) - a Citywide tenant organization which provides public housing residents and voucher holders an avenue for communicating their concerns and questions about CHA plans and initiatives in a formal, organized way - will showcase tenants’ artistic talents at an art exhibition at the Stebbins Gallery in Harvard Square this fall. The exhibition, entitled “For the Love of Art,” will run from September 19 through October 3, 2010 with an opening reception from 2:00-6:00 PM on September 19.
