Attaching videos to your blog

I'm trying out a new video embedding feature on our blog posts. There is a handy plugin for our website that makes it possible to attach videos from Blip and YouTube directly to our blog posts, and automatically embed them into the body of the post. It's pretty neat.

I chose this interesting promotional piece from the Cambridge Educational Access station about using the Cambridge Public Library as nice example of attaching videos to your blog read more...

Marissa yearns to help you

I just noticed that Marissa updated her profile to reflect what she does here at CCTV and I was particularly impressed with how she phrased it as "I yearn to help you." See for youself: http://www.cctvcambridge.org/user/243

Yasuni: A rainforest hotspot in jeopardy

Yasuni: A rainforest hotspot in jeopardy

More great programming from our local Blip.tv user, "crazyant". This article comes right from the original post:

I took this video during a trip to Ecuador this past December/January. It includes footage of some of the amazing wildlife there, as well as interviews with Dr. Kelly Swing and Dr. Jaime Guerra - both of whom have worked in rainforest science and conservation for many years. If you are interested in the issues of rainforests, indigenous people and oil production, check out www.saveamericasforests.org and www.findingspecies.org for more detailed info. I have to admit these were my first filmed interviews, and I hadn't yet learned not to talk while interviewing someone in "talking head" style (whoops, embarrassing!). The film also includes some creative commons sampling plus 1.0 liscensed sounds/music by Kerri and Gurdonark. [Cambridge on Blip]

His show "The End of Hydrocarbon Man" will be exhibited at Cambridge Community Television's Drive By Gallery, August 29 - October 10th 2006. Features creative commons licensed music by Paul Shuler of Macroform (www.macroform.co.nr) [Cambridge on Blip]
