9th Annual Backyard BBQ
More than 200 people participated in CCTV’s 9th Annual Backyard BBQ, promoting democracy, free speech and equal rights. The BBQ raised more than $20,000 to support CCTV's special outreach projects including our newly expanded Youth Media Program for teens!
The Revolutionary Snake Ensemblette set the tone for the evening, playing energetic funk and street music. Nancy Murray, Education Director for the ACLU of MA, and Kathy Reddick, President of the Cambridge branch of the NAACP, were honored for their efforts to preserve civil rights and civil liberties. As is the tradition at CCTV's BBQ, all food was provided and prepared by chefs from a diverse group of local restaurants and a silent auction featured a variety of exciting items.
The night would not have been possible without the generous support of community members, neighborhood businesses, restaurants and organizations! Thank you to all of our supporters!
