WHAT’S NEXT? AGING IN CAMBRIDGE
Volunteering and Life-long Learning
Have you been thinking about what to do with the rest of your life? Whether you’re working, considering retirement, or already retired there are many opportunities for volunteering and life-long learning. On Thursday, October 7 at the Main Library Auditorium, 449 Broadway there will be a panel discussion about possibilities for you to consider.
Panelists will include Jennifer Fries, Director of Cambridge School Volunteers, Eileen Ginnetty from the Council on Aging and representatives from other organizations. Some panelists, like Robert Snyder who volunteers with Food for Free, will share their experiences as volunteers. The evening will be moderated by Ann Bookman, a specialist in issues of aging, family caregiving, work, community organizations and public policy. There will be time for questions after the panel and many resources available.
Light refreshments will be served at 5:30pm followed by the program at 6:00pm.
